Original Yat Yat Seng Fei Lo Wu Curry Noodle

Recently I had the chance to visit Restoran Yat Yat Seng to try their famous curry noodle https://edo.my/curry-noodles-restoran-yat-yat-seng/. However after I shared the post to Facebook I was informed that the Original Yat Yat Seng Fei Lo Wu Curry Noodle has moved to Center Point Taman Hoover.

For his comment I straight went to look for the mentioned location and to my surprised, indeed here they are.

Upon enter we were warmly greeted by a beautiful waitress (could she be the daughter of Fei Lo Wu?). Since her friendly greetings, I asked her and to her reply, yes this is the original Yat Yat Seng Curry Mee stall and has been operating in this new premise since May 2017 (more than 3 months).

Our order

Since this is our first time here in their new premise, new menu we immediately ordered their signature curry noodles with their signature mixed palate.

I ordered both dried and soup based curry noodle, here I can finally taste their original curry flavor with the fragrance of 5 spices powder.

Their signature mixed palate consists of prawn, char siu, cockles, chicken, roast pork, pig skin, choo tau pei (literally translated to pig head skin), bean sprouts as the base with a splash of curry broth.

The char siu was good, while the roast pork came in quite a thick chunk as well. Just look at the lean meat with the crunchy skin. Before I proceed on the Choo Tau Pei (pig head skin) allow me to say this, I never once in my life ever eaten this stuff I think it was weird slinky jelly kind of…….skin. So this is my first time every trying something I never eaten before in my life and honestly, the taste was quite okay, perhaps due to the curry broth. But the texture was really really soft and I mean and chewy as well so, not bad.

So there you have the Original Yat Yat Seng Curry Noodle. Based on the menu above, you’ll notice they have wide range of menu including prawn noodles, Hainan Chicken Rice. So next time if your friends were looking for the one and the original, you know where to bring them to.
